We're Still Here!

So, we are pleased to say we survived the lockdowns and resumed trading on the 12th April this year. Re-opening after last year’s first lockdown, the Eat-Out-To-Help-Out scheme really helped us to recover as footfall greatly increased. This year, however, business was a little slow but with Christmas only 6 weeks away, we are hoping for a busy festive season selling lots of pre-loved jewellery, repairing your precious personal items and, buying any unwanted gold giving you a little extra in your pocket for all that present buying.

We are thankful to all our lovely customers who have kept us going and we hope that we will continue to provide our services long into the future.

The Adventure Continues...

So, we are now 3 months in and all set up. Systems are in place with the windows full of beautiful pre-loved and new jewellery. We went to the International Jewellery Show at London Olympia at the beginning of September and saw some interesting pieces and made a connection with Ceylon Jewellery, a Sri Lankan based manufacturing company whom we bought some new items from and currently have in our window.

We’ve sold some lovely pieces including a diamond bracelet with butterflies all around and two pink sapphire white gold rings that sold within an hour of each other! Our most requested items seem to be plain wedding bands which we’ve now stocked up on. We cater for all tastes and budgets and have some silver pieces in too. We even have a painting for sale by the local Norfolk artist Geoffrey Chatten.

Our repair service has taken off well and it’s been really fascinating to hear all the stories that are attached to all of your lovely jewellery. We’d like you to know more about our bespoke jewellery service too. We take your item that maybe unfit for purpose and make it into something new to treasure. One story is of a lady who sadly lost her husband 6 weeks prior to coming in and she wanted to make his wedding ring fit her finger which we did, even though it had to be resized 10.5 sizes down! Here’s to more stories.

Benjamin Joseph Jewellers: A New Venture

So on 1 July 2019, Malcolm Pereira made a big leap into the world of Jewellery. For the past 8 years he has been an expert with coins and medals and now he’s turning his hand to jewellery as well. With the success of the coin shop and with jewellery being bought and sold there, it was time to look for another property that was available for lease. The little Swan Lane shop became vacant and our journey began. Two weeks in and a lot has been learnt from insurance to signage. We hope people will come in with all their jewellery needs, be met with a warm smile and leave a satisfied customer. Onwards and upwards…
